Solmssen Court is located inside Dorrance Hamilton Hall with a glass ceiling and distinctive artwork by UArts students and faculty. The community is enthusiastic about holding receptions, ceremonies and meetings here because of the beautiful 4-story atrium located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, on the Avenue of the Arts. Solmssen Court seats up to 220 for dinner and up to 400 guests for a cocktail reception.

The University has hosted festive celebrations in this dynamic facility including weddings, Galas, fundraising events, art auctions, graduations, conferences, private dinner parties and numerous cocktail receptions. The atrium measures 45' X 65.' It has a 12'7" X 15'6" stage and two 440 sq.ft. balconies.

Hours Of Operation Please contact Karen Cornell Rosenberg at the University of the Arts on Monday-Friday from 9:00am through 5:00pm for space inquiries.
Rental Policy To confirm an Event, Licensee should complete the University of the Arts Facility License Agreement and return the Agreement to Licensor signed with a 50% deposit of the Facility License Fee, 30 days from the date on the contract. All additional charges are due by the thirtieth (30th) day prior to the Event. If the Event is being held in less than thirty (30) days from the date on the Agreement, then the entire Facility License Fee, and all additional charges is due with the signed Agreement. Event Requirements: Licensee shall provide Licensor a written outline of all Event Requirements (the “Event Requirements”), including audio visual, lighting, sound, screen, table, chairs, technical requirements, an hourly timeline of the Event, and all other such information as may be required by Licensor concerning the Event covered by this Agreement. All information shall be provided to Licensor no later than sixty (60) days prior to the Event date specified in this Agreement. Licensor also requires a copy of Licensee’s Pennsylvania State Tax Exempt Certificate indicating a sales tax exemption number beginning with “75” in order for applicable Pennsylvania and Philadelphia sales and use taxes to be waived on taxable items.
Cancellation Policy CANCELLATION BY LICENSEE: Should Licensee cancel the Event, the 50% deposit shall be forfeited. In the event that a performance is prevented, rendered impossible or infeasible by any act of God or regulation of any public authority or bureau, civil tumult, strike, epidemic, interruption in or delay of transportation services, war conditions or emergencies or any other similar or dissimilar cause beyond the control of the Licensee, it is understood and agreed that there shall be no claim for damages by Licensor against Licensee, and Licensee's financial obligations to Licensor shall consist solely of those documented costs incurred by Licensor for the Event prior to the decision not to hold the Event.
